If there is one regret about the LG Twins that is doing well, it is the injury of Eliaser Hernandez.
Hernandez started the match against the Samsung Lions at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 15th and pitched six scoreless innings with no hits, one out and nine outs. He had only 79 pitches until the sixth inning, but he handed over the mound to Kim Jin-sung in the top of the seventh inning and was replaced.바카라사이트
The reason is injury. Hernandez said, "I felt discomfort in my lower thighs from the fourth inning. My trainer coaches gave me massages and I hope it wasn't a serious injury."
However, it was not a minor injury upon examination. "Hernandez was left out of the first team due to damage to the internal muscles of the right thigh. It will take about six weeks to recover," said an LG official.
According to LG manager Yeom Kyung-yeop, his muscle was torn about 2.5 centimeters.
"He said he didn't like it since the fourth inning. But he said he could throw it after the sixth inning. He said he could throw it even after the sixth inning, but he said it would be enough for the next game. We said it was easy because we could block it and took it out," Yeom said.
Six weeks is a considerable amount of time. He is excluded from the rotation up to seven times. LG should find an alternative starter while Hernandez is out.
Since last year, the KBO League has newly established regulations that allow temporary replacement foreign players to be used when existing foreign players are injured.
Recruitment of temporary substitute players may be considered, but realistic issues should be considered. LG is not something that LG does not think about.
Manager Yeom Kyung-yeop said, "The team is making efforts. I believe in our team. When it comes to that, we prepare quickly and well."
However, the possibility is slim. Taiwan is considered the top priority, but it is not easy. "Most players in Taiwan are not allowed to play until July. Otherwise, they will say they will come to Korea," Yeom said. "We will not completely replace them. We have no intention of changing them."
Then, they should look at minor league players including Triple-A of the U.S.A. The minor league will not have free agents until the end of May. By the end of May, Hernandez will have enough time to come back. Realistically, it is not easy.
In some cases, Hernandez's return to injury has been set conservatively.
Coach Yeom said, "We could push (the timing of our return), but we have to see it until the postseason, so we set it at six weeks."
"We need time to fix the bad mechanism. I will do it during this period. It was completely different from the day before yesterday. The arm was sagging, so I changed it to the feeling of pressing from above. If you throw it as if you are pressing, the angle of the breaking ball will be much better. You will swing a lot on the curve," he said. "The release point is not important, but where you throw it is important, but my arm fell out. When I held it, the speed went up to more than 150 kilometers."
"Actually, it's not a part where a pitcher gets hurt easily. I think he came up without realizing it while warming up," he said. "It's not a place where damage comes from throwing."
